Coach Newland

Coach Newland was a three-year varsity starter graduating from Ann Arbor Pioneer High School in 2009. He attended Concordia University where he was the starting second basemen for the Cardinals. Coach Newland has been working for Great Lakes Baseball Academy for the past five years giving private and group instruction to players throughout southeastern Michigan. He has also spent time coaching with the Michigan Bulls, an elite travel team in the area. Coach Newland focuses on teaching the fundamentals of hitting, pitching, and fielding.
Coach Chaney

Coach Chaney graduated from Ann Arbor Huron High School in 2006 where he was a varsity standout on the mound and at the plate. He ranks 3rd all-time in single season homeruns and wins in a single season by a pitcher. Coach Chaney finished his playing career at Henry Ford Community College and shortly after turned his focus to coaching the game. He currently coaches the 12u and 14u Michigan Blue Jays AAA teams and is the pitching coach for the Ann Arbor Pioneer varsity baseball team.
Coach Brosnahan

Coach Brosnahan is an Ann Arbor native graduating from Pioneer High School where he earned All District, All Region, and All State selections. He attended the University of Michigan where he pitched three seasons for the Wolverines and earned All Big Ten and All Big Ten Tournament team selections in 2010. Following the 2011 season, Brosnahan played summer baseball in the Cape Cod Collegiate Baseball League, the premier summer league for college prospects. At the conclusion of the 2012 season, he signed a professional contract with the Toronto Blue Jays. Coach Brosnahan has a great passion for the game of baseball and teaching his students the fundamentals and techniques to make them successful.
Coach Dallas
Catching & hitting instructor
Coach Dallas attended Ann Arbor Pioneer High School where he earned two varsity letters under head coach Gerry Holley. In 2010, he served as team captain leading the Pioneers to their 3rd state championship in school history. Upon graduation, Coach Dallas attended Virginia Tech University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in business administration. Since returning to the area, he has been involved with numerous youth camps and travel baseball teams. Coach Dallas enjoys working with all ages and skill types and specializes in catching and hitting.
